(Morning & Evening)
(Session
2012-2013)
Applications for two years LL.M.
(Morning/Evening) Programs are invited from the candidates holding LL.B
degree from University of the Punjab or equivalent from any other HEC
recognized University/Institute.
The Prospectus with Application Forms will
be available from College Office for Rs.500/- (entry test Fee included) w.e.f.
23-10-2012. The Entry Test will comprise of objective/subjective
questions from Law subjects, English comprehension & legal current
affairs. Separate applications for both morning/evening programs
complete “in all respects” should reach the Office latest by 08-11-2012.
The in-service candidates who are applying for Morning Program will have
to submit NOC and leave for the entire period of their studies in this
Program from their respective employers and submit the same to the
College before the start of classes while the in-service candidates
seeking admission in LL.M. (Evening Program) will submit only NOC from
their respective departments. In case of failure, their admissions will
be cancelled. Incomplete forms or those received after due date shall
not be entertained at all.
The list of candidates eligible for entry
test will be displayed on the Notice Board on 09-11-2012. The Entry Test
will be held on 10-11-2012 at 11.00 a.m. at Dr.Pervaiz Hassan
Environmental Law Centre, University Law College, University of the
Punjab. No separate call letters will be issued for the Test.
The list of the candidates qualified for
interview along with date and time for the same will be displayed on the
College Notice Board on 12-11-2012.
It is to be noted that no reserved seat, of
whatsoever nature, has been prescribed for admission to LL.M
(Morning/Evening) classes. Limited hostel facility will be available
purely on merit for Morning Program. No hostel facility is available
for Evening Program.

regular students of the University Law College who have appeared in
LL.B. part-I / II Annual Examination 2012 are directed
to obtain provisional admission in LL.B. Part-II/III Class till 05-10-2012.
The students of B.A. LL.B. Hons who have appeared in different semester
examinations are also directed to get admission in the next semester
till 05-10-2012.
The students and their parents are
hereby informed that the Names/Roll Nos. of students failing to seek
admission within due date shall be dropped as per University rules.

1/4 of total marks obtained in
Matric plus 1/5 of total marks obtained in Intermediate plus total marks of
B.A./B.Sc. 20 marks for Hafiz-e-Quran to be included wherever applicable.

LL.B Hons Sem- I (Morning) Merit Formula
A Level - O Level
Those candidates
who have passed A level or O level exam. are required to produce
Equivalence Certificate issued by Inter Board Committee of Chairman.
(IBCC) Ministry of Education, Govt. of Pakistan, Islamabad. They are
required to submit this certificate before last date, otherwise they
will not be considered for admission.
The candidates who
have passed B.A., B.Sc., B.Com from Non-recognized University are
required to submit Equivalence Certificate, obtainable from Admin
Block Punjab University Room No. 230, otherwise they will not be
considered for admission.
Admission Criteria
(Session
2012-2013)

The admission shall
be made by the Principal, keeping in view the previous academic
performance of the candidate, the result of interview and test, If
any conducted by the College and such other considerations as the
College Council may, from time to time, determine.

Candidate should
submit their application, together with the necessary certificates,
on the prescribed form obtained from the College Office on payment.
Dates for test and interviews, if any, will be notified by the
Principal.

Application will be
received in the College Office between 8.30a.m. and 04.00p.m. daily.
Successful candidates shall pay their dues, within the prescribed
time to the University New Campus Branch of HABIB BANK LIMITED after
obtaining the necessary memorandum (challan) from the College
Office.

Admission to the
LL..B. Part-I class is open to graduate of the University of the
Punjab or (subject to the Syndicate's approval ) of any other
recognized University. Admission to the LL.B Part-II and LL.B.
Part-III class is open only to such person as have passed the
examination of LL.B.Part-I and LL.B.Part-II respectively from this
college.

The foreign student
should route their applications for admission through the Ministry
of Education, Government of the Pakistan Islamabad. A candidate must
submit with his application for admission to the College:

A certificate of good moral
character, signed by the Principal of the College last attended
by him or signed by a gentleman known to the Principal of the
University Law College or by a Magistrate in the district in
which the candidate resides.

A certificate singed by the
Principal of the College from which he graduated or by the
University authorities that he has passed the examination for a
degree of the University of the Punjab or (subject to the
sanction of the syndicate) of any other recognized University.

A migration certificate in the case
of a graduate of a University other than the Punjab.
-
The Matriculation certificate
showing the date of birth.

The intermediate certificate.
-
A domicile certificate (in the case
of a graduate of a University other than Punjab).
-
A detailed marks certificate of the
degree examination.
-
A certificate from the
superintendent of a recognized hostel from the candidates
parents or guardian, indicating the applicant's place of
residence.

Three recent passport -size
photographs of the applicants.
-
In case the applicant is in service,
a certificate indicating that he has been permitted by the head
of this department to join law college or that he has been
granted leave for the teaching session, and
-
Photostat copy of identity card.

Certificate filled by the candidates
with there admission application are not returned nor will any
copies be supplies by the college Office. Candidates are, however,
permitted to file certified copies instead of originals.
