ADMISSION POLICIES

 SESSION 2009-2010

(In accordance with University of the Punjab Admission Regulations, 2009)

Admission to B.A. LL.B. 05 years Morning Program (Semester System)==========================================================

Admission Criteria:

25% of total marks obtained in Matric/O-Level plus total marks obtained in F.A./F.Sc./A-Level.

1. Eligibility:

F.A./F.Sc/A-Level (Fresh Candidates only) with minimum 55% marks.

2. Additional Credit

    a. Law in A-Level

 

        A Grade            30 marks

        B Grade            20 marks

        C Grade            10 marks

 

    b. General Paper in A-Level

 

        A Grade            30 marks

        B Grade            20 marks

        C Grade            10 marks

 

    c. Civics, Sociology, Philosophy, Economics, History, English Literature & Journalism in F.A./F.Sc./A-Level

 

        (i)    20 marks for 60% or above marks in each subject, subject to a maximum of 3 subjects.

        (ii)   15 marks for 55% or above marks in each subject, subject to a maximum of 3 subjects.

        (iii)  10 marks for 50% or above marks in each subject, subject to a maximum of 3 subjects.

Preference will be given to those who have passed the B.A./B.Sc., or equivalent examination

(i)        Annual Examination 2009 & 2nd Annual Examination 2008

(ii)       Annual Examination 2008 & 2nd Annual 2007

(iii)     Annual 2007 & 2nd Annual 2006

 2.      B.A. LL.B Hons (Seats Available)

(i)       Merit                        40 Seats

(iii)     Reserved                    7 Seats

4.    Admission Forms are available 11th August to 20th August 2009. After 20th August, 2009 no form will be received.

Admission to LL.B. 03 years Morning Program (Annual System)==========================================================

Admission Criteria:

1/4 of total marks obtained in Matric plus 1/5 of total marks obtained in Intermediate plus total marks of B.A./B.Sc. 20 marks for Hafiz-e-Quran to be included wherever applicable. Admission will be made as per order of year of preference mentioned below.

Morning Classes

LL.B. Part-I Admission will be adopted following policy.

1. Eligibility:

B.A. B.Sc. or equivalent

Preference will be given to those who have passed the B.A./B.Sc., or equivalent examination

(i)        Annual Examination 2009 & 2nd Annual Examination 2008

(ii)       Annual Examination 2008 & 2nd Annual 2007

(iii)     Annual 2007 & 2nd Annual 2006

 2.      LL.B Part-I Morning (Seats Available)

(i)       Merit                        240 Seats

(iii)     Reserved                    35 Seats

 3.     Reserved Seats

 

           (i)        Children of refugees from Occupied Kashmir            2%

           (ii)       Children/spouses/real brothers or sisters                              

                      (in this order of priority) of Lawyers with atleast

                       5 years lower court standing                                    1%

           (iii)      Children/spouses/real brothers or sisters                              

                      (in this order of priority) of Lawyers teaching in

                       the University Law College with a minimum

                       service of 5 years                                                     1%

           (iv)      Other Categories                                                       As per University Policy                     

4.    Admission Forms are available 10th August to 19th August 2009. After 19th August, 2009 no form will be received.

LL.B Part- I (Morning) Merit Formula
